Personal Post: Echo Lake, CA
One of my absolute favorite places is Echo Lake in northern California on the outskirts of Tahoe. In 1939 my great grandfather built a cabin on the lakefront, and it has been in my family ever since. My mother grew up spending every summer at the cabin, and the tradition continued with me and my sisters. This was the first year in many that my entire family was able to make it up to the lake, including my 4 week old niece Luna! There is something amazing about sleeping under the stars, swimming in the freezing cold lake, and being disconnected from the outside world. Spending that time in nature is so needed and I often take for granted what a beautiful world we live in! Thank you for the wonderful memories Echo, I hope to see you soon!
